Parkinson’s support group meeting on Dec. 20

Those who have Parkinson’s (or want to learn more about the disease), are now preparing for a presentation by distinguished doctor Monique Giroux that will take place Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. at the Orcas Island Senior Center. Dr. Giroux’s presentation will be given again on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at the senior center.

Those who have Parkinson’s (or want to learn more about the disease), are now preparing for a presentation by distinguished doctor Monique Giroux  that will take place Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. at the Orcas Island Senior Center.

Dr. Giroux’s presentation will be given again on Wednesday, Jan. 18 at the senior center.

Those attending the Dec. 20 meeting will hear that therapy can take a wide variety of forms, among them doing art, laughing, and playing music  and golf.

All will be asked to speak about their own particular therapies, and state what they are doing to deal with the symptoms.

The Dec. 20 get-together will conclude with a Christmas party. Everybody is asked to bring something to eat or drink. The party will take place at 1 p.m. at the senior center.
