Members of the Orcas Island Yacht Club (OIYC) held their 2008 Holiday Gala and Commodore’s Ball on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the YMCA Camp Orkila Conference Center.
Newly installed Commodore Bob Brunius welcomed the attendees and promised a great year of cruising and sailing activities. Bob is a ten-year resident of Orcas Island, an accomplished sailor, and three-time winner of the prestigious Oregon Offshore Race.
