San Juan County Senior Planner said that the County Council heard testimony, both in writing and reopened oral testimony at the meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 19 The Public Hearing was continued, albeit to a non specific date or location. The Council is looking to hold a further meeting on Orcas and will advertise the meeting when the date and location are finalized.

Maycock said that there appeared “to be only two really sticky issues, the first regarding the appropriate zoning for a lot immediately adjacent to the Market; and the second regarding the provision of parking within the Transportation district.”

Updates of the plan and development regulations will be available as soon as the wording is finalized.
