"Due to icy conditions on many of the side roads used by families and staff to reach the main roads (which are also icy) and with tonight's forecast for extremely low temperatures offering little chance of improving road conditions, all OISD schools will be closed Thursday," announced Orcas Schools elementary and middle school principal Kyle Freeman. The Waldron school is not included in this closure.
