The Museum traditionally hosts an opening day party the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, and this year will be no exception. Stop by and share in the food, music and fun. The museum itself will be open to visitors at no charge. Our regular hours starting Saturday, May 29 through July 4 will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on Mondays. Come learn about the Smithsonian Journey Stories coming in July and August, with local islanders’ stories, and about opportunities to volunteer for this event.
