Everyone is invited to join our talented public school students this Friday, May 16, as they show off their classrooms and some of the projects they’ve been working on throughout the school year. Student artwork, live music in the Elementary School, lantern making in the courtyard, and arts and crafts in the classrooms will be occurring. There will also be a slide show on the Cascade Creek watershed study as it enters Buck Bay. And be sure to check out the high school senior projects, including Bocce Ball lessons and Creative Writing Podcasts. Classrooms will be open to visit and school events will be occurring between 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Immediately following the open house, be sure to head over to the school cafeteria, from 5-7 p.m., for the Harvest Meal. This is a Farm-to-Cafeteria event featuring a menu from locally provided fresh local produce, served cafeteria style, and prepared by Orcas Island chefs Annie Sparks-Dempster and Charles Dalton. Adults $5 and children 12 and under $2.

Don’t miss this wonderful meal and a chance to see what so many of our kids have been up to!
