The San Juan County Public Works Department is holding an Informational Open House on Thursday, Jan. 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Firehall in Eastsound to present the Mount Baker Road and Spruce, Alder and Hemlock Streets projects.

The department is asking for public input on how to make the projects beneficial to the residents of Eastsound and Orcas Island before design, right-of-way acquisition and permitting begin.

Work on Spruce, Alder and Hemlock Streets is scheduled to begin this spring and the Mount Baker Road project is set for the summer of 2012.
