OPALCO responds to power outages

Orcas Island and Shaw Island OPALCO members reported power outages due to wind damage starting at 11 a.m. on Aug. 29. OPALCO crews were dispatched to multiple locations and as of 1:45 p.m. most services were restored on Orcas Island with the exception of the Highlands to Youngren corner.

Orcas Island and Shaw Island OPALCO members reported power outages due to wind damage starting at 11 a.m. on Aug. 29. OPALCO crews were dispatched to multiple locations and as of 1:45 p.m. most services were restored on Orcas Island with the exception of the Highlands to Youngren corner.

Crews continue to work to restore power on the eastside of Shaw. There were isolated outages reported on Lopez and San Juan Islands.
