Orcas Island Fire and Rescue responded to 14 emergency calls from May 7 to May 14. Fire related calls were to a fuel spill, an illegal outdoor burn and the fire at the Cascade Grill near Rosario Resort.

Medical calls were for a non-injury motor vehicle crash into a residence, two minor trauma incidents, seven medical emergencies and a citizen assist. Six of the medical emergencies resulted in off-island transport by Airlift Northwest.
