The Orcas Christian School Saints’ volleyball team ended its regular season on a high note with a clean 3-0 sweep in three sets: 25-13, 25-15 and 25-15, over the Lummi Nation Blackhawks at Orcas Christian on Monday, Oct. 27.

Aside from the win, the Saints celebrated the success and contributions of Senior Maelle Comrie during a “Senior Night” ceremony. Comrie would finish her final regular season with three kills and two digs.

“Maelle came to us as a senior with very little volleyball experience. She became one of our top servers. Maelle is an aggressive player with a great attitude. She knows how to help her teammates have fun,” said Head Coach, Breezy Davis.

The win also qualified the Saints for the playoffs in their Northwest 1B league. The playoff game is scheduled for Thursday Oct. 29. Their opponent will either be Tulalip Heritage (Marysville) or Arlington-Highland Christian.

“As our first year in league, we are very excited and privileged to take part in the play-in game! The six Lady Saints have worked hard and earned it,” Davis said.
