No winners yet in primary election

With about 300 ballots left to count, incumbent Clyde Duke may have garnered enough votes to stay in the November election for SJC Fire Protection District #2 Commissioner.

As of last count, Duke had 565 votes, or 51.32 percent. Henry “Duff” Andrews has 340 votes, or 30.88 percent. Jonathan Loop has 196 votes, or 17.80 percent.

Preliminary results were tabulated Tuesday, Aug. 18 at 8:08 p.m. by San Juan County.

Final results of the primary are expected Thursday, Aug. 20 at 4 p.m.
