The Orcas Island Garden Club’s meeting on Jan. 21 will feature Emily Bishton, who specializes in natural approaches to pest management.
The presentation is at 10 a.m. in the Madrona Room at Orcas Center.
Bishton will discuss tried-and-true plants choices along with design and maintenance practices that will increase the plant’s health and attract beneficial insects and birds to our gardens. Emily has been a landscape designer and educator in the Seattle area for 25 years, specializing in wildlife- and child-friendly gardens and edible landscapes.
