The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce is presenting a Business Essentials presentation, aimed at small business owners on Thursday, Aug. 29, from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Eastsound Fire Station.

If your business location has a shop or office in a public setting, you are possibly at risk for criminal activity. Namely, an after-hours break-in. How prevalent are break-ins on Orcas Island? Are you taking steps now to protect your business? What should you be doing to keep your location safe?

Sergeant Herb Crowe, San Juan County Sheriff’s Office District 2 Supervisor for Orcas Island will lead the discussion, offer insights and answer questions.
