The Orcas Island Artworks will feature figurative drawings in pastel and charcoal by Lori Fast through the month of September.

A former ballet dancer, Fast’s work captures a sense of movement and the energy of the human body. Much of her inspiration is drawn from travels across Europe, Russia, Canada and the U.S., sketching from life to quickly capture a gesture or mood. Since moving to Orcas in 2006, she creates new works daily.

“The ever changing beauty of this place constantly ignites my passion for creativity,” she said.

The Artworks is open daily 10 to 6.
