Legislators to attend ‘Ferry Community Partnership’ meeting in Anacortes

The purpose of this gathering is to provide a venue for interested residents of the San Juan Islands, Anacortes, and Whidbey Island to discuss ferry-relaed concerns with these officials prior to the upcoming legislative session.

State Representatives Larry Seaquist, Jeff Morris, and Kristine Lytton will be in attendance this Saturday, Nov. 5 when the Ferry Community Partnership hosts a meeting from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Anacortes Public Library meeting room.

The purpose of this gathering is to provide a venue for interested residents of the San Juan Islands, Anacortes, and Whidbey Island to discuss ferry-relaed concerns with these officials prior to the upcoming legislative session.

The Ferry Community Partnership is a grassroots organization that works with residents, elected officials, and other local and state leaders to advocate for safe, reliable, and sustainable ferry service as part of the statewide transportation system. In addition to the opportunity to meet with the legislators, the group will also share and seek input on its draft goals for advocacy efforts is 2012.
