The League of Women Voters of the San Juan Islands will sponsor a series of “General Election Forums.”

San Juan Island: Monday, Oct. 3, Friday Harbor Middle School Commons Room, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Invitations have been issued to the candidates for the contested positions of School Board Director 3, School Board Director 5, Park and Rec Commissioner 5; Pro and Con speakers for the Land Bank and Solid Waste ballot measures.

Orcas Island: Wednesday, Oct. 5, 5 to 7 p.m. at Orcas Center. Invitations have been issued for the contested positions of Port Commissioner 2, Port Commissioner 3, Sewer and Water Commissioner 5; Pro and Con speakers for the Land Bank, Solid Waste and the Orcas School District Levy ballot measures.

Lopez Island: Thursday, Oct. 6, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church. Invitations have been issued for the contested positions of School Board Director 2, Port Commissioner 1, Port Commissioner 2; pro and con speakers for Solid Waste and the Land Bank ballot measures.

Charter Review candidates have been invited to attend and will be introduced.
