Join the League of Women Voters San Juans for their monthly membership meeting Monday, May 2 at noon in the Friday Harbor library on Guard St.

The format is a panel discussion of the topic “Civil Discourse: ARE the times A-Changin?” A five member panel of experts will include David Kennedy, noted author and historian, Barbara Kline, superintendent of the Orcas school district, Lenore Bayuck, a Psychosocial Clinical Nurse Specialist, Lynne Hobbs, a professional facilitator, and Jack Cory, editor of the online Island Guardian newspaper, will offer their observations after which attendees will be encouraged to participate in the moderated discussion.
