The Island Girls Team is holding a raffle to raise funds to help find the cure for breast cancer. The team is participating in the Susan G. Komen “3 Day Walk for the Cure” in Seattle.

“We can’t guarantee that you’ll win one of our great prizes, but your sure to win the satisfaction of helping to end a disease that kills over 40,000 women a year,” said team member Bridget Wright.

Tickets are $2 for one or three for $5. They are available at Mandy’s Hair Haven, the Orcas Book Exchange or from the team’s booth at the Orcas Island Library Fair.

“Our prize list will have something for everyone, from dinners to designer duds, artwork to outdoor gear, and so much more, and  the winners will be drawn after the end of the library fair,” Wright said.

Some of the prizes include a cedar porch swing; jeweled Mardi Gras bra; art; gift cards to island businesses and restaurants; pink fishing poles; orchid; designer apron; massage; chocolates; and an electric toothbrush.
