Interisland sailings canceled due to crew shortage

Submitted by Washington State Ferries.

Several interisland sailings will be canceled on July 16 due to a shortage of qualified crew members. The 5:30 p.m. departure from Friday Harbor and the 7:05 p.m. departure from Lopez and all of their corresponding stops will be canceled. This will affect the following sailings:

  • 5:30 p.m. Friday Habor to Orcas
  • 6:20 p.m. Orcas to Shaw
  • 6:35 p.m. Shaw to Lopez
  • 7:05 p.m. Lopez to Shaw
  • 7:25 p.m. Shaw to Orcas
  • 7:40 p.m. Orcas to Friday Harbor

WSF is making every attempt to accommodate travelers affected by this service disruption and will make some additional nighttime stops on the Samish’s last round trip from Friday Harbor to get eastbound passengers to their destination.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding while we work to navigate this challenging time.

The safety of our customers and crew is WSF’s top priority. All traveling customers are required to wear face coverings inside terminals and vessels in compliance with the latest CDC guidelines. However, passengers can remove their masks while outdoors on the sun deck, car deck areas of the vessel, outside waiting areas at terminals and other outdoor locations. Please remember to mask up upon reentering interior areas of boats and terminals.
