High school wood shop builds puppet theatre

Orcas High School students are the recipients of a gleaming new puppet theatre, courtesy of Mark Padbury’s wood shop.

It was built by students Emily Diepenbrock, Daniel Janssen, Bobby Lowry, Sam Parrish, and Alex Brown. The finish was provided by New Horizons Painting and former OHS student Blaine Buscher.

The theatre made its debut on June 16, when the high school Spanish classes performed two puppet shows in the commons during lunch. A group of elementary students watched the shows as well, which were written by the students and performed entirely in Spanish.
