The Senior Center Advisory Committee is calling on the community to help by donating interesting and unique (gently used) items for its annual Granny’s Attic Sale.

The sale will be on Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“As usual, we would like to encourage you to begin your spring cleaning and contribute to this fun and fabulous fund raising event which will help us to maintain the senior center,” said Jane Heisinger, coordinator for the Orcas Island Senior Center Advisory Committee. “We depend on your support to make this the ‘event of the season.’”

Drop off days will be on Tuesdays from noon to 3 p.m. at the senior center from March 15 until April 12. Please do not donate electronics or clothing. If you have larger items such as furniture, call Heisinger at 376-2677.

“If every household would donate one item, we would be a long way towards our goal,” Heisinger said.
