Graham Wallis passed away at his home the 15th day of March, 2016. He was born on the 19th day of March, 1944 in Chelmsford, Essex, England to his loving parents Archie Wallis and Peggy Wallis. Graham was the eldest of four children, having two younger brothers John and Malcolm, and his sister Ann.

Graham met the love of his life, Miss Maxine Smith in Chelmsford, where they were married on the 19th day of March, 1966.

In 1984, Graham moved his wife, their son Mark, 16, and daughter Michelle, 14, to Orcas Island, WA where they settled into a wonderful life. He soon became a valuable member of the Orcas Island Fire Department and a dedicated EMT. His love of the game of golf was widely known and he spent many an hour with his lifelong buddies on the course.

Graham will be greatly missed by Maxine, his wife of 50 years; their son, Mark Wallis and his family of Everett; their daughter Michelle Pipher and her family in Oregon; six grandchildren and two great granddaughters; by his family in the United Kingdom, and by all those dear friends and colleagues within the fire department, members of the EMTs and by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held May 16, 2016 at 2 p.m. on the grounds of the Orcas Island Golf Course.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Graham’s memory be made to the Orcas Island Fire Department and the Orcas Island EMTs.

The Wallis Family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all those EMTs and fire department personnel who have shown such care and consideration to our family during this very sad time.

May we express a special thank you to Rita Harvey for her personal care and concern during this most difficult time.
