The Funhouse Commons is honored to announce it has been selected to receive a $3,000 grant from the Robin DiGeorgio Endowment Fund, administered by the Madrona Club.
The grant reflects the legacy of Robin DiGeorgio, a beloved Orcas Island resident who lived in Doe Bay for over 30 years. DiGeorgio was a gifted artist, skilled gardener and tireless volunteer whose generosity touched countless lives across the island. She dedicated herself to many local organizations, most notably the Madrona Club, where she served as president for many years.
DiGeorgio’s deep commitment to the Orcas Island community continues through the endowment fund established in her name. Managed by the Madrona Club, the fund awards grants to organizations whose missions align with DiGeorgio’s lifelong passions, including education, the arts, Native American concerns, animal welfare and environmental stewardship.
“This generous grant from the Robin DiGeorgio Endowment Fund is truly meaningful to us,” said Ryan Carpenter, executive director at The Funhouse. “Robin’s dedication to community, creativity, and service mirrors the values we strive to instill in the young people we work with every day. We are honored to carry her legacy forward through our programs.”
