Eastsound road work to be finished week of July 14

The county roads division asks motorists to reduce their speed and watch for workers and other traffic while driving through affected areas. When the fog seal is applied, it will be wet at first, then tacky. Pedestrians should not walk on the surface until it is dry. Crews will be there to assist and advise when the surface can be walked on.

The San Juan County Public Works Department will be completing chip seal operations with a fog seal on roads in Eastsound starting Monday, July 14 – weather permitting.  Every effort will be made to minimize disruptions to traffic and parking during the project, but there will be some delays and detours while work is in progress.

Signs and instructions will be posted around the specific work areas during the project. Public Works will place a high priority on maintaining access to businesses.
