Dream Foundation grants dying man his wish

Thanks to the Dream Foundation, an Orcas Island man is having one of his wishes granted.

Danny Brown, who is battling terminal cancer, has always wanted to take his family to Disney World, but never had the means to do so. The week of April 19, the Dream Foundation, a national wish-granting organization for adults with life-limiting illnesses, is making his wish come true. It will likely be the last vacation Brown will experience with his family.

After traveling from Bellingham, Brown and his wife Dana, as well as sons Danny Jr. (16) and Ryan (23), will arrive in Orlando, Florida where they will pick up a rental car and move into a three-bedroom condo that was donated for their use. They will enjoy the magic of Disney, Universal Studios and Sea World.

“I wanted to make some fun, family memories with my kids before I have to leave them,” Brown said. “This gift from the Dream Foundation will give my family a wonderful experience to remember me by.”
