The Orcas Island Recreation Program is having a fundraising dinner on Monday, Nov. 17 to go towards year-round programs for kids.

The public is invited to let someone else do the cooking and dishes while supporting meaningful recreational opportunities for kids, such as swim lessons, sports (including Youth Soccer), theater, FEAST, music, and art. The Orcas Island Recreation Program depends on community support to keep its doors open, as it faces being entirely cut from the county budget.

Dinner, silent auction, and fun will take place at LuLu’s Pasta Rustica with open seating from 5 to 9 p.m. The cost is $17 per person and includes house salad, pasta entrée (vegetarian and meat), dessert, and a non-alcoholic beverage. Additional beverages will be available at an extra charge.

Tickets are available at Darvill’s, at the Orcas Island Recreation Program office (in the Senior Center from noon to 4:30p.m.), or call 376-5339 to reserve a seating time.
