The county council will meet on Lopez, Monday, March 9, from 10:30 to 2 p.m. The meeting will start at the Lopez Sound Road Entrance to Lopez Hill to tour the hill for one hour in anticipation of signing of the 50-year lease from DNR to SJC Parks. The council will then make a brief visit to Woodmen Hall. From approximately noon until two the council will meet at the fire station to discuss a variety of Lopez and county issues. Finally, the council will visit the Upright Head Preserve of the Land Bank before departing on the 3:30 ferry. Everyone is welcome.
