Charter review, Port of Orcas, sewer district and other seats

In the race for the two County Council District 4 Charter Review Commissioners on Orcas, Ed Sutton (24.11 percent), William (Bill) Appel (25.26 percent), Robert (Bob) Gamble (26.87 percent), and Ralph Gutschmidt (23.76 percent) were all elected. • Three of the four following candidates will be elected: Leonard Wood (23.41 percent), Moana Kutsche (25.88 percent), Linda Tretheway (23.41 percent), Stephen Garrison (27.3 percent). The next update should be posted on the county website around 5 p.m. on Nov. 9. The new Port of Orcas Port Commissioner 2 is Dwight Guss (73.9 percent), beating Gary Abood (26.1 percent). Sheldon Gregory (60.76 percent) won a spot as commissioner three, beating Alan G. Edwards (39.24 percent). Rollie Sauer (63.13 percent) was reelected to his position on the Eastsound Sewer and Water District board. He beat Roger Adams (36.87 percent).

Port of Orcas

The new Port of Orcas Port Commissioner 2 is Dwight Guss (73.9 percent), beating Gary Abood (26.1 percent).

Eastsound Sewer and Water

Rollie Sauer (63.13 percent) was reelected to his position on the Eastsound Sewer and Water District board. He beat Roger Adams (36.87 percent).

Unopposed seats: school board, fire commission, port, parks and rec, sewer and water

Janet Brownell will once again fill the number four seat on the board of the Orcas Island School District and Jim Sullivan was elected to number five.

Barbara Bedell is reelected as Orcas fire commissioner number three.

Brian Ehrmantraut is the new Port of Orcas commissioner five.

Vicki Vandermay was reelected as commissioner one for the Orcas Island Park and Recreation District and Martha Farish was reelected as commissioner three.

David B. Lowry is the new commissioner two on the Eastsound Sewer and Water District board.
