Camp Orkila screams Oct. 23

Camp Orkila will celebrate fall by opening camp to the community for their annual Fall Festival and Haunted Hayride.

Visitors to Orkila’s Big Red Barn on Friday, Oct. 23 from 3 to 6 p.m. will climb the wall, practice shooting arrows at the archery range, carve pumpkins. There will be face painting, cider pressing and other games. Hot dogs and hot apple cider will be served.

A Kiddie Hour Haunted Hayride departs at 6:30 p.m. for a tractor tour around the farm with some gentle Halloween surprises for little ones.

The brave of heart will enjoy the Haunted Hayride departing from Foxfire Field from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. The later tour is called a “tour of terror” around camp and into the woods.

Organizers warn, “Get ready to scream.”

Visitors to all events are asked to bundle up, enter through the main Camp Orkila entrance on Mount Baker Road, and follow signs to the parking areas.
