The Board of Fire Commissioners will hold a special meeting on Thursday, June 17 at 3 p.m. at the Lopez Fire Station. The agenda for the meeting is limited to the operation of the fire marshal’s office (FMO). Commissioners from all the San Juan Co. fire districts will receive a briefing on how the the new changes are going nearly four months into the re-organization. Besides Lopez (District 4) and Orcas (District 2), this meeting will include the County and Shaw (District 5), as well as the FMO host district, San Juan Island (District 3).
