At State playoffs, Orcas soccer wins, Orcas football falls

The Orcas Vikings soccer team beat the Liberty Bell Mountain Lions 1-0 while the Orcas Viking football team tumbled to the Napavine Tigers 27-8 on Saturday, Nov. 14.

Both state playoff-bound teams’ games started within 30 minutes of one another at different stadiums.

The Vikings football team will end their season 8-3, while the Orcas girls’ soccer team will go on to play La Conner, who beat LaSalle yesterday 1-0. The Lady Vikings have beat La Conner twice this season already. The Orcas soccer team will go head to head against La Conner on Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner, Wash.
