Orcas Island Community church invites the community to come by and view an array of hand-crafted artistic crosses created by island residents, on display from May 6-13 in the church.
“People were encouraged to express their creativity by making a cross using their own chosen medium,” said pastor Grant Myles Era. “This resulted in everything from Legos to bulb kelp, to a living sculpture made from hens and chicks plants.” Other crosses are carved from wood, painted, or written in poetry.
Cookies and coffee will be served during office hours, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
