The third year of the Orcas Montessori School pie sale is going on now.

The pies were made by Orcas Montessori parents with organic ingredients including heirloom apples from the school’s orchard.

The pies are frozen and ready to bake. Orcas Montessori parents are selling the pies for $25 each. They are available at Ray’s Pharmacy by cash or check, by calling the school, or from any Orcas Montessori parent.

All money raised from the pie sale goes to the Orcas Montessori School program and supports scholarships and programming.

Founded in 1988, Orcas Montessori School offers a dynamic learning environment for preschoolers and kindergartners based on the educational method of Dr. Maria Montessori, Italy’s first female physician and a pioneer in childhood education.

Morning sessions are Monday through Friday. Afternoon and all-day sessions are Monday through Thursday depending on each child’s readiness and classroom availability.
