Sheryl Albritton of San Juan Island has announced her candidacy for the upcoming November 2016 election for San Juan County Council Member from District 1.

Albritton says she  “hopes to bring transparency, fairness and fiscal responsibility to San Juan County.”

Her career began at the City of Marysville where she served as Public Works Secretary and Building Permit Clerk. She went on to City of Mill Creek and then spent nine years at Skagit County where she served as Permit Technician, Code Enforcement Technician, Fast Track Plans Examiner and Building Inspector. Albritton’s husband was raised on Lopez and is a contractor on San Juan.
