Nurture the young ones, they are the vital future of our communities. Replenish salmon populations, we all rely on this vital ecological resource, and without the salmon we will go extinct. Nurture the health of this Salish Sea and it’s ecological diversity. At 104 years old, I have quite an appreciation for these islands and the Salish Sea that embraces them all. I have seen millions of salmon, and eaten many of them! I have seen their numbers dwindle and our families now must work harder for less food. I have seen hunger. As your mayor I continue to be a champion for the salmon that orcas, humans, and even the forests benefit from so much.
