The Tardy Queen visited Orcas Island Elementary on Oct. 2nd to award two classrooms with the lowest number of tardies forSeptember. Congratulations to Mrs. Gaylord’s and Mrs. Freeman’s classrooms. The Tardy Queen has become a regular presenter at Orcas Island Elementary during monthly assemblies. She is always greeted with anticipation as students wait to hear if their class is announced. Students are also awarded a “High Five” award by Mrs. Mayr, from a drawing. They each receive certificates for showing one of our Big Three Character Traits.
