Opening night of “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” had the audience roaring with laughter, delighted with the dancing of Oompa-Loompas, and offering a standing ovation in the end for a masterful performance by Willy Wonka (Christopher Evans), Charlie Bucket (Anwyn Thompson), Grandpa Joe (Tom Fiscus), all the Golden Ticket winners and all the supporting cast. It was a magical night that ended with a standing ovation. The show continues tonight and Saturday, at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are moving fast. The show closes Sunday with a 2 p.m. matinee.
