‘Town to Shore’ exhibition

Submitted by The Crow Valley Gallery and Island Thyme Shop

The Crow Valley Gallery and Island Thyme Shop is thrilled to announce David Ridgway’s ‘Town to Shore’ exhibition, opening this Friday, July 24, running through August 14th. Come see the artist’s hand-picked selections, depicting a way of life we islanders enjoy.

David’s paintings are beloved by locals and visitors alike for his masterful ability to capture the essence of our islands. David shares “‘My work is an attempt to use expressive color and form to interpret the local landscape. The paintings are often a meandering series of depictions which try to evoke joy and wonder, that emotion you felt when you first arrived on Orcas, the islands, or the Pacific Northwest. During these trying times, I hope the work conveys a hopefulness of better days to come.”

David describes his work as being about places where humans and landscapes coincide, where marine scenery and foothills set the stage. David’s pieces capture the idealistic landscapes of our local island life, including scenes painted of Mt. Baker Farm, a view of Eastsound from the water, Crow Valley Road, and even the MRF Van!

We hope to see you at the Gallery where you can support our talented local artists.
