The Whale Museum to host premiere of “Saving Luna”

The Whale Museum will host the Friday Harbor premiere of the international award-winning documentary film “Saving Luna” as a fund raiser for the museum’s Soundwatch Boater Education Program.

The event will be held on Sept. 10 at The San Juan Community Theatre (100 Second Street). A “Meet the Producers” reception kicks-off the evening at 6 p.m. The reception will also feature hors d’oeuvres created by Chef Madden Surbaugh of Steps Wine Bar and Café. The film will be shown at 7 p.m. followed by a conversation with creators and producers Suzanne Chisholm and Michael Parfit as well as some local residents who participated in the Luna Stewardship Program.

Ticket prices are $45 for the reception and film (if a person only wants to see the film, the ticket price is $20).
