Submitted by the San Jan Islands Agricultural Guild.

The San Juan Islands Agricultural Guild is pleased to announce the 2026 FARM Fund grant cycle. Thanks to the generosity and support of local community foundations and donors, there is $32,000 available to distribute in grants this year. Producers throughout San Juan County are invited to apply for grants up to $2,500 to support their spring growing season. The application period opened Jan. 4, and complete applications are due Jan. 25.

The purpose of the FARM (Food, Agriculture, Relationships, Markets) Fund is to support commercial farmers, ranchers and producers in San Juan County by strengthening local agriculture, stewarding the land through regenerative practices and increasing the supply and availability of local food. The fund provides critical capital in the form of grants to help expand or sustain operations, improve financial viability and contribute to a thriving local food economy grounded in regenerative principles.

Examples of past projects funded by the FARM Fund include hoop houses, trellis systems, farm tools, fencing, irrigation equipment and cool storage. A list of previously funded projects can be found at https://sjiagguild.com/past-farm-fund-recipients/.
