April is the most mature of all the candidates.

April takes a strong stand on youth and education.

April is very moooooving in her feelings towards children and only wants the best for them.

April takes time to ruminate on problems.

April may be the only candidate that actually lives in Eastsound.

April is a leader in the block watch in her neighborhood.

April is a very green candidate, proposes a hay bale in every yard.

April is a strong member of the bovine party.

April is a contented cow that will honor her vow.

Bossy

Bossy of the Lum Family Farm is a fine, upstanding, Green Pasture Party choice for Mayor of Eastsound. Contrary to rumor, Bossy is not a senior citizen. She is in the prime middle years of her life, ready to take on the big issues of our day with a baa here and a baa there. A couple of years back, chewing her cud while contemplating her own brush with death, Bossy turned her sights towards community service. What greater community service for a smart and noble sheep to undertake than to be the Mayor a.k.a Boss of Eastsound? Bossy would relish the opportunity to bring the residents of greater Eastsound together under her benevolent cloven hoof.

What does Bossy stand for? Bossy believes in green pastures and grazing rights. She supports whole grain nutrition and she produces and supports natural, renewable fibers. The Green Pasture Party is your best environmental choice and Bossy is proud to represent the GPP. And most importantly, Bossy stands tall and proud for strong fences and leashed dogs!

Because, where there’s wool, there’s a way!

Clara

As I observe the goings-on of Eastsound, I am often approached and asked what my positions are on the top issues of this election. And so I have tried to clearly and honestly share my views with you here today.

Tourists: They have been very, very good to me! I enjoy chatting with them, sharing my favorite picks with them and even (occasionally) licking them. We had some folks who owned an ice cream shop in San Francisco … pretty tasty. I promise to continue to be helpful and welcoming, and to represent the best side of Eastsound.

Business: I love the energy of a busy shop, and a happening village: places to go, people to see, things to sniff. I pledge to do my best to encourage friendly, tail-waggin’ shop dogs. And to unite all Eastsound critters to let our “shop owners” continue to think they are the boss (it’s good for business!).

Leash Laws: Well, I must confess: I tend to behave better off-leash than on. Not the “cooped-up” kind I guess. But I respect the idea of good behavior and also being safe while out and about (still not great with that car thing…)

International political relations: I truly understand Eastsound’s important role among the world’s great villages. To respect that dogs are dogs and cats are cats … despite their breed … is the best way to bring true peace to the world. And to always remember the balance of leading with a strong paw and a warm tongue.

Recreation: The Dog Park is a great asset to Eastsound, as play is as important as work. But make no mistake: I get great satisfaction from a good day’s work for you!

Law and Order: I’m very clear on this: rest assured that if Colton Harris returns to Orcas, I will use very tool at my disposal to sniff him out and bite him in the ass.

And remember, my entire mission, my reason for putting this election and the future of Eastsound first is Children’s House. To help children and families here in our own community. Please let me help Eastsound be the best we can be!

Lucky Lu

Lucky Lu is also dedicated. She will be there for all town meetings, rallies and events.

Honest and intelligent, Lucky Lu will listen to all people of Eastsound and proudly represent them.

Lucky Lu is a team player whose social skills are impeccable! She has marched in several Eastsound parades. She absolutely loves all the people, especially kids!

Beautiful, honest and full of energy, Lucky Lu will do the job for YOU.

Tractor

Tractor’s platform is mostly one of peace, love, and purrs. Anything that gets people purring Tractor completely endorses. Although her name implies masculinity, she is actually a girl, thus her pink and girly campaign sign. She is a cat of juxtaposition, both a democat and a republifeline.

Her interests include reiki, foreign languages, nature conservancy, Community Supported Agriculture , and eating cat food purchased exclusively from Pawki’s in Eastsound.

A vote for Tractor is a vote for the children … and so is a vote for Bossy, April, Clara, and Lucky, so just vote!
