St. Agnes Guild’s 59th Annual Market Day will be held Saturday, July 26, on the Episcopal Church lawn from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Market Day is a major fund-raising project, with all proceeds going to outreach for the Orcas Island Community, to benefit local organizations such as the Food Bank, Kaleidoscope, Children’s House, the Funhouse, Domestic Violence, Orcas Recreation, Hearts and Hands, the Senior Center and YMCA Camp Orkila.

An exciting new feature of this year’s Market Day is a classic collection of flyfishing and salt water fishing gear in prime condition, generously donated by longtime Orcas residents Marion and the late Doc Wiseman. Fishing enthusiasts are sure to find rods, reels or other fishing items of interest.

In addition, Market Day will again offer lots of fresh homemade pies and other yummy baked goods, and a beautiful Silver Tea with cookies in the new Parish Hall. Outdoors, delicious hot dogs and cold sodas will be served. This is a great opportunity to look for bargains from St. Agnes’ attic on the tables of jewelry, games, puzzles, CDs, books, household goods, and other “treasures” for all ages.
