The Orcas Senior Center’s Spring Brunch on Sunday, March 15 has been canceled.

“Balancing over-reaction with caution is a tricky business, as has been well demonstrated with the coronavirus situation that we are currently facing. Many senior and disabled islanders rely on the Orcas Senior Center’s nutrition program (which includes both the senior lunches and Meals on Wheels home deliveries) to meet basic nutritional needs,” say organizers.

The annual Spring Brunch has been a key fundraising event to ensure that this program continues. However, seniors are also the highest risk group when it comes to coronavirus. For this reason, the Orcas Senior Center will be postponing the annual Spring Brunch until further notice.

Refunds are available at the Front Desk of the Senior Center; tickets or other proof of purchase will be required for a refund.
