Do you love to sing? Come join Orcas Choral Society and sing in harmony and joy.
Artistic Director Bruce Langford makes learning fun while he stretches our skills. This December, we’ll sing Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s Midnight Mass for Christmas, a cheerful setting written in 1694 and based on 10 French carols. We’ll be joined by dancers from the Orcas Dance Collective, choreographed by Tiffany Loney. The second half features fun, familiar secular carols in inventive arrangements. We’ll sing the concert twice, Saturday evening, Dec. 6, and Sunday afternoon, Dec. 7.
Rehearsals begin Sept. 9
Fall rehearsals begin Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the Orcas Center Madrona Room. We’ll potluck at 6 p.m. and introduce the music at 7 p.m. Regular rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9 p.m. Come check us out!
Yes, you can!
If you have little or no experience singing in choirs, don’t worry. Bruce is a fabulous teacher, and we use a very handy web tool, Choral Tracks, to help us learn the notes.
