Seattle artist to offer drawing workshop as island senior center

A fun and informative workshop on the fundamentals and nuances of drawing portraits with Seattle artist and Gage Academy instructor Geoff Flack will be held on June 23-24 at the Senior Center. Participants will be drawing from live models and using soft pencils and charcoals.

A fun and informative workshop on the fundamentals and nuances of drawing portraits with Seattle artist and Gage Academy instructor Geoff Flack will be held on June 23-24 at the Senior Center. Participants will be drawing from live models and using soft pencils and charcoals.

Flack, who holds an MFA in drawing from the New York Academy of Art and a BFA in drawing from Colorado State University, combines his recent academic experiences with his personal talent to make him a delightful and engaging instructor at all levels of experience. He has shown in selected private viewings, including shows curated by Rob Looker and Eileen Guggenheim in New York City.

Sponsored by the Olga Strawberry Council, the cost is only $90 total for the two-day workshop at the Senior Center from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
