“Ever wanted to SCUBA dive or see what life is like below the surface of the Salish Sea? Now is your chance to do so without even getting wet,” say organizers. Graner, a world-class wildlife cinematographer, filmed portions of the award winning BBC series “The Blue Planet” and “Norway’s Hidden Secrets.” He also recently released the movie “Beneath the Salish Sea.” His underwater footage of the Salish Sea’s marine wildlife has been called “riveting,” said organizers. After watching an advance screening, SeaDoc’s Joe Gaydos commented, “Even with the problems facing Puget Sound, it is still an incredible place and Graner’s undersea footage will leave people inspired in a way we haven’t been since Jacques Cousteau filmed here.” “Secrets in the Sound” will be aired on KIRO 7 TV at 10 p.m. on March 24 and again on April 2. The DVD is also available for purchase through the KIRO 7 Web site, and a portion of the sales will help support the work of the SeaDoc Society and the Northwest Straits Commission.
