The club also invites other local car enthusiasts to join them in an informal car show in Eastsound from noon to 2 p.m. at the Orcas Island Community Church.

The tour is part of the Western National Tour of the Veteran Motor Car Club of America, which this year is touring both the San Juan Islands and Anacortes areas. The club is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and exhibition of antique automobiles. “The ingenuity of engineering and beauty of design always inspire, whether old-timers who remember the cars when new, or today’s kids who know them only through venues such as this,” said Michael Rivkin, event organizer.

The tour is hosted by the Sequim Valley Car Club. Contact Michael Rivkin for additional information at 376-4260.
