The season of giving is in full force with the help of the Orcas Island Community Foundation’s 2025 Holiday GiveOrcas Campaign, which runs from Tuesday, Dec. 2 through Thursday, Dec. 11. During this time, the entire community can make meaningful gifts at GiveOrcas.org to support 33 local nonprofit organizations that are crucial to sustaining and enhancing the quality of life on Orcas Island.
More than just a fundraiser, GiveOrcas provides an opportunity for every islander to lift up the local community and maximize the impact of their support. Every gift made goes directly to local nonprofits, ensuring that vital programs in social services, education, the arts, animal welfare, health care, housing, environmental stewardship and more continue to thrive.
Giving locally always makes a difference in the community, but especially during the holiday season. This year, organizations have created gift-sized levels to outline how contributions impact their programs and to inspire donors to include GiveOrcas in their holiday giving plans. OICF is also excited to partner with the Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce to feature GiveOrcas in the Shop the Rock Passport program to encourage support of local businesses and organizations throughout the holiday season. Passports will be available at OICF, the Chamber and participating local businesses.
Every donation to GiveOrcas makes an impact — contributions of $10 or more are welcome and celebrated. Plus, donors can join in the fun on special “game days” to boost support for their favorite organizations: Unique Donor Day (Dec. 4), FunDay Monday (Dec. 8), Ben Franklin Day (Dec. 10) and The Final Hours of Giving (Dec. 11).
All GiveOrcas contributions can be made online at GiveOrcas.org, by cash or check to the Orcas Island Community Foundation, P.O. Box 1496, Eastsound, WA 98245 or dropped off at the OICF office at 33 Urner St. #4, Eastsound.
