The Clothing Bank is returning to Orcas Island this fall for its 31st year and will be open Nov. 1-2.
In its early days in 1994, the Clothing Bank was held at the Odd Fellows Hall in town before later moving to the Orcas Christian School gymnasium.
One thing that makes the event unique is that it serves multiple people and needs.
“The Clothing Bank is designed to support families while also providing a local opportunity to upcycle clothing and give it new life within our community,” said Clothing Bank organizer Dawn Parnell.
This year’s Clothing Bank will feature clothes, shoes, accessories and linens.
It will be open Saturday, Nov. 1, 2-5 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 2, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, contact Orcas Christian School at 360-376-668.
