Orcas Island Artworks features Slapin

Susan Slapin’s works will be featured at the Hotwall at Orcas Artworks during the month of June.

Susan Slapin’s works will be featured at the Hotwall at Orcas Artworks during the month of June.

Whether printmaking, painting, wedding photography, or poetry, Slapin says, “My work always comes from a place of introspection and inspiration.”

The Artworks’ sampling of her work encompasses painting and photography from both Ojai, California and Orcas Island. “See the difference in the palettes and textures!” says Slapin.

In addition, Slapin’s book “Ferry Boat Photography and Poetry Island Passages” and a new greeting card, titled “Paint Brushes” will be made available.

Susan’s art degree from Marylhurst University, along with her work archiving old film photographs at The Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences, have contributed to the content of her work
